The Collection

The nights I love most are the ones that run long, with the people you love. And a room either gives you those nights or it doesn't — it usually comes down to a handful of objects. How the light sits. What your hand finds on the table. Whether the brass goes warm or cold when the candles are the only thing burning. I choose for that hour.

I take my time. I fall for something, then carry it around in my head for months before I know what to do with it. The Collection is what survives that. Nothing here is filler.

It's also for anyone standing in their own living room knowing something isn't finished, without knowing what. That's most people — it's just not what your eye was trained to do. One good object, chosen properly, does more than a room full of nearly right.

The Collection changes as I do. The runs are small and they aren't repeated. If something here belongs in your home, take it while it's here.
