The Studio
Full-service residential design, by commission — for those who want the whole composition, not only the pieces.
The studio takes a small number of private commissions each year. Each one is considered slowly, room by room, and begins with the house and the life inside it.
What follows is not a renovation or a decoration, but a composition — a home brought fully into itself.
-
The complete commission. The studio takes on new-builds, additions, full and partial renovations, and furnishings-only projects — composed slowly, room by room, with a single point of view held from the first decision to the last object placed. For clients building, renovating, or composing the home they already have into the one they have always wanted.
-
One room, fully composed. A living room, a primary suite, a study, a dining room — taken from concept through sourcing and installation, with the same rigor as a full-home commission, at the scale of a single space. For clients who want one room done completely, and done right.
-
Curation and acquisition, for those managing their own project. The studio composes the scheme — furniture, lighting, objects, materials — and handles sourcing and procurement, including trade access to makers and houses not available at retail. For architects, builders, and clients who hold their own reins but want a trained eye on the selection.
-
A small number of commercial commissions each year — retail, hospitality, restaurants, and fitness and wellness — composed with the same restraint, and the same considered hand, brought to a private home. For the spaces that should feel composed, not branded. Designed for the hour they come alive, and the people who will be in them.
The Process
-

Inquiry.
We begin with a conversation. The studio learns the house, the way you live in it, and what the finished home needs to feel like. By the end, the scope, the timeline, and the investment are clear to both of us.
-

Survey.
The studio documents the home as it is — measured, photographed, drawn. We learn the bones of the space, the light it holds at each hour, and the pieces worth carrying forward.
-

Concept.
The studio composes the early design — plans, materials, palette, and the directions the home could take. You see what is possible before anything is final, and we listen closely to what moves you and what does not.
-

Development
The chosen direction is refined into a single, cohesive vision — every room, every surface, every piece. By the end of this phase, the home is fully designed on paper before a single order is placed.
-

Sourcing.
The studio sources and procures everything the design calls for — furniture, lighting, objects, and materials — drawing on trade relationships with makers and houses across High Point, Milan, and beyond.
-

Installation.
The studio installs the home in full and stages it down to the last detail. You return to a house that has become itself — composed, complete, and ready for private life.
